Myrmecia In Natural Habitat by Genevieve Lamb
ARTIST NOTES: This piece explores the Victorian Bull Ant, one of the Myrmecia Species. These ants are on the endangered species watchlist, and although they have been on this list for many years, not much is being done to help them. This piece places the ant in what has become it's home habitat. It is encased within the artwork as though it were in an ant farm. My piece aims to help raise awareness for endangered species that are often overlooked.
