ARTIST BIO

I came to formal art practice through a 6-year career as a classical ballet costume-maker. Broadly, my practice engages with feminism and feminine sexuality while critiquing material culture and consumerism. I am driven by a commitment to working with textiles and bodies to tell these stories.

Hannah Gartside
